An event within the main event is the 'Family Expo' (featuring health, education, motherhood and slots for children and parents) to coincide with Mothers Day and Family Day. There will be a play area for children as well as food stalls, live bands and cultural performers from 11am-3pm each day.

It was a wet start to this Sunday morning on 16th September. But that did not keep many brave souls away from the Claudelands Events Centre where the 1st Fiesta Pilipinas sa Waikato and the 2nd Migrant Expo were held.
An hour after opening time the sun had come out and visitors started pouring in.
Last year there was only one Pinoy exhibitor, but this year there were six, plus 46 others at the Migrant Expo.
An indication of the events success was the fact that the Lutong Pinoy ran out just after 2pm.
The 2nd Fiesta Pilipinas will be bigger and better at the Claudelands Events Centre on 23rd August 2008.
